My name is Todd and I’m 43 years old. I moved from Michigan to Tampa in 91, work as a data analyst for a finical services company in St. Pete, and work as a Pro DJ on the weekends.
How did you hear about our boot camp?
I always had interest in the boot camp style of training, saw one of Xtreme Athletix ads, tried it out, and was hooked!
Why did you decide to train with us?
Two big things. I liked the no hype part of the boot camp program and gym. It’s just the basics, I found you don’t really need all of the fancy stuff to be fit, you just got to be committed to put the work in, and of course the quality coaching, coaches with knowledge. I sure they don’t want to kill us but sometimes it feels like it comes close, (laughing) and the workouts change up all the time.
I also didn’t want to be injury prone. I knew I had to strengthen myself to prevent injuries and prolong my basketball playing. So my overall longevity.
What has happened so far?
I have lost about 5 lbs. on the scale in a couple of months, and that is with increasing my eating. I’ve been sleeping better, and just feeling overall stronger. It has effected me in all areas of my life. Stress doesn’t bother me as much anymore and I dropped a pants size. I was a 34 pants forever, and earlier this year I went out shopping for a 36 pant. It was then I realized in the dressing room, “What the hell am I doing? I need to stop this before it starts!”
Changes you have noticed in your sport?
I play a lot of basketball, at least 2-3 times a week. I noticed a lot more strength in the game as far as physical presence, as in trying to moving around, holding position better, and a huge difference in my endurance. Game after game, I start pulling away from everybody else, as far as speed, agility, stamina and not feeling fatigued.
Anything else you would like to share?
I want to say, two things. One, if you are doing any kind of workout, are you getting the results or seeing what you want to see from it? And if you are not working out at all, it’s worth giving the boot camp a try, you can’t possibly do the workouts and not see results.
